Add local files (picker or drag-and-drop) or direct audio URLs. Reorder, loop All / One / Off, and restore URL tracks across sessions via Figma client storage.
Mini player beside Motion
Shrink the panel to a compact always-on-top player with title, transport, and time - keep it open next to the Motion timeline while you animate.
Frame binding + playhead sync
Bind a track or playlist to a canvas node. Auto-sync polls the Motion playhead to seek, loop, pause, and drift-correct audio so sound stays locked to the timeline.
Questions
Is it paid?
No. Motion Music is free forever on Voltis Core. There is no Pro paywall for the plugin.
Where do I install it?
From the Figma Community plugin page (or Plugins → Development while you iterate locally). Use Figma desktop - not the browser - for Motion and Development plugins.
Does audio play inside prototype preview?
No. Sound runs in the plugin UI iframe. Keep the plugin open (Mini mode helps). Closing the plugin stops playback.
Will Spotify or YouTube links work?
Page links will not. Use a raw audio file URL (mp3, wav, etc.) or a local file from disk.
How accurate is Motion sync?
Best-effort. Figma exposes playhead position, not Play events. Sync polls about every 100ms with a 0.2s drift threshold. Browsers may block autoplay until you press Play or Play bound audio once.
